Weather and Climate Science at Fox Hill

In fourth grade, we wrapped up a great weather and climate science project. Topics for this project included weather maps, forecasting, weather instruments, climate science, and extreme weather. Students researched and filled out graphic organizers as a basis for using technology to synthesize, display, and share what they learned. To bring their research to life, we used our green screen, ChatterPix, Tellagami, and iMovie. Students used the Book Creator app as a hub to put all the elements of their project together and used the ebook feature as a way to present their findings to the class. At the end, students used Kahoot, a website that allows them to create an online quiz that classmates complete in real time using their iPads, as an assessment. It’s a great example of peer to peer learning.  Check out some great examples in the video below!
