Read Across America – Dr. Seuss’ Birthday at Memorial School

Memorial students celebrated Read Across America in the library this week by listening to Dr. Seuss’ stories.

  • 3rd graders -“Bartholomew and the Oobleck”.  Students made and studied oobleck (which was created based on Dr. Seuss’ 1949 story);
  • 1st and 2nd graders – “Cat in the Hat” and completed a STEAM project of engineering and building a tower of Dr. Seuss hats using paper and red cups.
  • Kindergarteners read “One  Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish” and created their own red/blue fish.

It was a great week reading and celebrating Dr. Seuss.
