Memorial Kindergarten Classes Read “Glow” by WH Beck

This week, Kindergarten classes read “Glow” by WH Beck and learned about Bioluminescent creatures – fireflies, anglerfish, fungi, octopus, dragonfish, lanternfish, and squids.  We learned that animals glow for several reasons – to hunt, to hide, to find a friend, to lose an enemy, to trick, to call for help and to fight back.  The Memorial Learning Commons is now decorated with “glowing” squids made by the students.
