2015-2016 How Do I Do That

The BPS EdTech Team will be offering the How Do I Do That Technology Series again in 2015-2016. We are excited to announce that this year these open sessions will provide technology support along with curriculum development for the integration of technology. BPS curriculum leaders will join BPS EdTech and IT Team members at the sessions to collaborate with teachers and find great ways to use technology within their curriculum. Each HDIDT session will also feature support for Educator Evaluation and the use of Google Classroom for the evaluation process. We hope that these new opportunities will continue to make our long running tradition of How Do I Do That sessions be even more beneficial to Burlington teachers.

BPS teachers can again bundle hours of participation at How Do I Do That sessions during the school year for Burlington inservice credits. Ten hours of participation will earn one inservice credit. Twenty hours will earn two inservice credits. There is a maximum of two inservice credits for staff members each year.

The first session of the school year will be held on Tuesday, October 13 at the Burlington High School library. The session will provide technology support from the BPS EdTech and IT Teams along with curriculum collaboration from leaders of the Math and Science programs in Burlington. The session will feature information about Open Educational Resources and a look at the ongoing BPS initiative to move away from traditional textbooks and transition to fully digital instructional resources. Teachers can also participate with questions about the Educator Evaluation process and use of Google Classroom.
