December features two opportunities to participate in the BPS EdTech Team How Do I Do That program. There will be an on-site session on Monday, December 8 at Memorial Elementary School from 2:30-5:00pm. This session will feature open support for any technology related questions. Members of the BPS EdTech and IT Teams will be available to help.
December also features a Tech Explorer Challenge. Teachers can create a video describing their classroom’s digital workflow and post to a YouTube account or channel. The video should describe how you distribute, collect, and assess student work digitally.
What apps do you use?
Do you use a blog or LMS?
Do you use Google Classroom?
What expectations do you have for students?
After you have posted the video – email the link to your video to Dennis Villano by December 22 to earn 3 hours towards BPS inservice credits.
Please see BPS EdTech Team members at your school or contact Mobile Learning Coaches Jenn Scheffer or Diana Marcus for support with the project. You can use any app that you want to record the video but the YouTube app and iMovie are great options for this project. Both of these apps upload directly to YouTube accounts connected to our BPS Google Apps accounts.
Please note – BPS teachers can bundle hours of participation from How Do I Do That programming during the school year for Burlington inservice credits. Ten hours of participation will earn one inservice credit. Twenty hours will earn two inservice credits. There is a maximum of two credits for staff members each year.
